A few years ago it was easy to write my own bio, a vague portrait in romantic words, leaving enough unsaid to assume the best of me. Each day and week of my life was a story of its own, freely recounted. I was impressed with my art, ignorant to the foundation of what I was attempting, deceived by exciting colors and shallow images.

Now my character is more defined, solidified by challenges, grounded by the contentment of fatherhood, and driven by the desire to acquire certain skills and knowledge. Stories now take months or years to pull together, are much more weighty and mostly go untold. I chip away at blinding naivety, studying good art and the learning the skills required to execute it.

The stream of knowledge is swift, leaving me one step behind and unsatisfied with even my best of attempts. The works I’ve produced are stepping-stones to a goal that is pushed ahead as I progress. The journey is one am passionate about and I hope one day to find some validation to my work. Possibly in the form of a notable achievement, or just a trail of art that tells a bigger story that I am too small to see.

One goal is that my artwork continually improve, become defined as my own, grow in meaning and increase in value.
